What is a LIMS? It's an icontest version of Survivor. You sign up for a round of challenges. During each challenge you make an icon. During voting, you vote on your least favorite icons (technique wise, not subjective wise). Those with the most votes are out of the competition. The winner of the round is the person who is the Last Icon Maker Standing. And they get a shiny banner that says so.
What is 24? 24 airs on Fox from January to May. It's all about stopping terrorists and the manipulations/consequences/heroics from doing so. It's a fast-paced thriller with guns, torture, angst, and heart.

01 - You must be a member of the community to enter the competition. 02 - You must sign up in the sign-up thread. You must enter at the beginning of the round. You are not allowed to join the round after Challenge 1 voting. 03 - A round lasts until there is... get ready for it... a Last Icon Maker Standing, aka the person who does not get voted out of the competition. 04 - You may submit only one icon per challenge, unless otherwise stated. 05 - Your icon must meet LJ requirements, which is a maximum of 100x100 pixels and 40kb in size. 06 - The icon you submit must be both original and exclusive until the end of the challenge. Please do not use your own or other's bases or icons made from the same caps made long ago. 07 - If your icon is found to be in violation, you will disqualified from both the challenge and the round. And Jack Bauer will label you as a terrorist. ;) 08 - I reserve the right not to accept your icon if it doesn’t follow challenge requirements. 09 - Unless otherwise stated, use of textures, brushes, blending, and animation is permitted.

01 - Anyone with a livejournal account may vote. 02 - Don't ask your friends to vote for your icon. Ask them to vote, sure, but do not tell them which icon is yours. Fair is the name of the game. 03 - All voters must give reasons for choosing their least favorite icons. You are voting on technique (cropping, coloring, lighting, text placement, etc.).
Sample reasons: "This icon is grainy" or "icon uses too much exclusion layer".
Do NOT give the reasons like "I don't like yellow so I don't like this icon" or "that idea stinks".
